Ladies, gather your friends and join us at Coogee Wine Room for a remarkable Lamb and Wine Dinner on Thursday, 15 August. This special evening features a unique tasting experience that celebrates the finest in lamb and wine.
Date: Thursday, 15 August
Time: 6:30pm
Price: $150 per person
We’re thrilled to host two distinguished guests: Isabele Roberts, the 2023 Australian Sheep Farmer of the Year from Ridgehaven Polls Dorset Stud, and Molly Greentree from Gundagai Lamb. Gundagai Lamb uses advanced technology to assess the marbling of lamb, aiming to provide the ‘wagyu of lamb’ to Sydney restaurants. Isabele will share her insights on lamb production, with the lamb served on the night coming from her farm. For a preview and a special message from Isabele click here.
To showcase a contrast, we’ll also feature lamb from Tom's family meat business in Kyneton, Victoria, offering a traditional touch to the evening.
Our food and wine menu for the night will consist of:
A seafood starter with Vintage Sparkling from Freda Hensken of Henskens Rankin in Tasmania - an amazing woman making sparkling wine as good as anything you will drink from Champagne.
Frenched lamb cutlets with a pinot noir from one of Australia's pioneer female winemakers, Kathleen Quealy in Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Lamb backstrap with a lovely grenache from good friend Jules Ashmead of Elderton Wines in the Barossa Valley.
Lamb rump with a soft and silky Barossa Shiraz from talented young winemaker Samantha Chandra.
