We're a restaurant and wine bar in Coogee, at 222 Coogee Bay Road just a block back from Coogee Beach, marrying the charm of a great European wine bar with the convivial feel you only get from a local by the sand. The kitchen is Mediterranean and farm-to-fork, and the wine list is one of Australia's most awarded — 500+ bottles with 31 by the glass, and we're a bit chuffed about it — while happy hour runs every single day from 4 to 6pm. Come in for a glass and, more often than not, you'll find yourself staying the whole afternoon.

My regular local. Great for dinners with mum, professional social meet ups, dinner with friends or solo night out. Such great service, vibes. Menu is perfect for shared plates or solo dinner. Sophisticated flavours. Wine list is phenomenal and I’ve recently discovered cocktails are fabulous! I’m more of a wine person… but I’m being convinced that starting with a cocktail is really not a bad idea.

My wife and I enjoyed a weekend dinner at the CWR. Both of our mains were outstanding (pasta dish and lamb) and the desert we had was phenomenal (apple tarte Tatin). The venue has an excellent wine selection and the service was friendly and professional. All up an excellent dining experience.

Had a lovely dinner with friends, the food was simply delicious. I had the fish of the day and leafy salad, both very flavourful. And the tarte tatin to finish off, I am still dreaming about it.
