WINE OF THE WEEK | FEBRUARY

For those of you who are searching for a new drop to try, Brooke’s February wine recommendations will provide the perfect inspiration…

WEEK 1

“Clos Cibonne is one of only 18 Cru Classe growers in the Côtes de Provence AOP and produces wine mostly from Tibouren. Rumoured to date back to Roman times, Tibouren was a favourite of Julius Caesar – and it’s certainly a favourite of ours, too! Producing a delicious, savoury style of rosé that is perfect, with or without food.”

WEEK 2

“Founded in 1995, Domaine de Bellivière has been farmed organically from the start, becoming biodynamically certified in 2011. While the Les Rosiers comes from their younger vines (considered anything under 50 years old), it still offers incredible complexity and fruit weight, as well as a wonderful acidity and minerality to balance the residual sugar in the wine.”

WEEK 3

“Nine generations have come before current brothers, Claude and Hervé, but it was only when the brothers took over the estate that they started bottling their own wines rather than selling to négociants. While they produce a number of Premier Cru wines, their Bourgogne Rouge punches well above its weight!”
